Blacks are not only considered the face of welfare, they are also considered the face of weave especially African-American females. Many people believe that every black women wears a weave, while most of us do, there are many who have naturally long and healthy hair. There is also the belief that the women who wear weave do so because they do not have enough hair to wear on it’s own. I know many black females including myself who wear weave and still have a head full of beautiful healthy hair. On the other hand, one cannot ignore the fact that there are many non-African-American women who add weave tracks to their hair. They may use the glue-in method, the sew-in method, the clip-in method, or the classic wig, either way they wear weaves too. If there are may different types of women who wear weaves, why are African American women the only ones who are criticized for it?
